In the summer of 2025, the "2025 Summer Global Practice Group for College Students—Global Competence Enhancement in the UK Program", jointly organized by FLTRP (UK) and numerous universities across China, was successfully held. Outstanding students from all over the country crossed mountains and seas to write brilliant stories of international growth in the UK. They deeply immersed themselves in the academic atmosphere of British higher education institutions, experienced the profound academic heritage of renowned universities, explored the integration of industry and academia, unlocked the secrets of cross-cultural communication on the banks of the Thames, and shared China's narrative with a professional global perspective—this journey was not only an expansion of global horizons, but also a refinement of capabilities for versatile talent in the new era.

Cultural Roaming: Understanding the Diversity of Britain
From the steel memories of Manchester, an industrial stronghold, to the rock-and-roll soul of The Beatles in Liverpool; from the academic sanctuaries of Oxford and Cambridge to the medieval echoes in the ancient city of York; from the Lake District poets' natural reflections to the global pulse under London's Tower Bridge—along this journey, students profoundly experienced the spiritual legacy of the British Industrial Revolution, felt the British romantic obsession with the wilds while hiking in the Peak District, and witnessed a true microcosm of globalization in the diverse faces of the London Underground.
Such a cultural journey made students realize that genuine study tours are never just about checking in at tourist spots, but about understanding the stories and souls behind every inch of land.
Liverpool Visit
The students visited Liverpool, a charming port city. This city is a jewel where history and modernity intertwine, carrying centuries of maritime legends.
Windermere Lake District Trip
In the Windermere Lake District, the students took a boat on the lake, seeing swans gliding over the water, seagulls soaring in the sky, sheep scattered on the grassy slopes, and the snow-capped peak of Scafell faintly visible in the distance. It is a land of inspiration for Romantic poet William Wordsworth, who once wrote, "I wandered lonely as a cloud." At the lakeside home of Beatrix Potter, the origin story of Peter Rabbit is preserved, weaving together nature and fairy tales in this enchanting place.
